Following a successful 10 year run the Science Museum is redeveloping the Atmospheregallery in the museum’s Wellcome Wing with a new gallery ‘Energy Revolution’. TheWellcome Wing was completed in 2000 to showcase contemporary science whilst theAtmosphere gallery was created in collaboration with Casson Mann in 2010 to explainclimate change via extensive and highly integrated digital media, which has been seen by morethan 5,000,000 visitors. The story of climate science has now dramatically moved on, as hasthe digital technology that the gallery was founded upon. We have an exciting opportunity totell this urgent story in a way that reflects the museum’s award-winning visitor experience aswell as its ambitious journey towards Net Zero by 2033.We are looking to appoint an Architect to act as Lead Designer for Energy Revolution, whowill directly sub-contract or undertake the duties of Exhibition Designer, LightingDesigner and Graphic Designer. All other members of the Design Team will be procured onseparate contracts.
