Peterborough City Council is seeking to purchase two block residential respite beds in a CQC registered Care Home or Homes within the city of Peterborough. These beds are in two Lots, one for a Residential bed for a person under 65 years of age, and one for a person over 65 years of age. In the case of Lot One, the primary need of the Service User will be Physical Disability or early onset dementia rather than a Learning Disability. The bed may occasionally be used for a person with a mild-moderate Learning Disability but this will always be discussed on a case by case basis.
Providers can bid for one or both lots if their CQC registration allows them to do so.
It is anticipated that both beds will be used primarily for planned respite purposes, although the Council reserves the right to use them in an emergency situation as necessary
