National Gas Transmission (NGT) is seeking market feedback in relation to their procurement and contract strategy which seeks the creation of strategic delivery partnerships for the delivery of upgrade and new installations at high-pressure gas compression sites and asset health works. New compressors will be required in some locations. Asset Health refers to the replacement, refurbishment and decommissioning of above and below ground mechanical and civil assets and associated electrical works. NGT are currently exploring a strategy to optimise investment five priority sites and a significant amount of investment required across the 28 compressor units on the UK network that will become non-compliant with MCPD legislation by 2030 (Medium Combustion Plant Directive). The purpose of this PIN is to obtain market feedback and engagement and to seek feedback in relation to a number of areas of the developing asset management contracting strategy.

National Gas is seeking a broad response from several category sectors of programme delivery including but not limited to:

Professional services including engineering, design, project management, PMO and project support services;

Compressor train and gas-turbine designers, manufacturers, engineers, installers and maintainers;

Design-and-build contractors (including Engineering Procurement and Construction or EPC), main-works-civils contractors, tier 1-2 delivery contractors and subcontractors.
