The No.12 Shearwire is an Arming Lanyard that works in conjunction with the 40” Lanyard to enable the safe release of PWIV from the F35B internal bomb bay. The IGMR DT are looking to procure a quantity of 2000 No.12 Shear wires, within a 6-month period from placement of order. The intention from the IGMR DT is to procure an initial quantity of 1000, with a further two purchases of a quantity 500, no later than 30/04/22 and 31/07/22. The security classification of this requirement is Official Sensitive, with a cyber risk level of very low in accordance with DEFSTAN 05/138. The duration of this Contract will be for 1 year from Contract placement. The IGMR DT have estimated the Contract value of this requirement as £0.210M. This requirement will not be split into lots, due to the simplicity of this procurement. Also meaning that we will not be accepting variant bids.
