The General Pharmaceutical Council (“the Authority”) regulates pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies in Great Britain. The Authority is inviting bidders with experience of delivering high stakes assessments, to submit a tender for the delivery of its national registration assessment. The registration assessment is a computer-based examination that takes place in test locations distributed across the UK. The procurement will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Regulations 74 to 77 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("Light Touch Regime").

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The General Pharmaceutical Council (“the Authority”) regulates pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacies in Great Britain. We work to assure and improve standards of care for people using pharmacy services. Our role is to protect the public and give them assurance that they will receive safe and effective care when using pharmacy services. We set standards for pharmacy professionals and pharmacies to enter and remain on our register.

The Authority is inviting bidders with experience of delivering high stakes assessments, to submit a tender for the delivery of its national registration assessment. The registration assessment is a computer-based examination that takes place in test locations distributed across the UK.

The scope of services includes delivery of a secure computer-based assessment to candidates on agreed dates in test locations distributed across the UK, a secure platform that manages exam questions in multiple formats, test booking services, candidate support services, invigilation services, proctoring services (as required), reporting services and other related services.

The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.

The procurement will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of Regulations 74 to 77 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("Light Touch Regime").
