NHS Norfolk and Waveney ICB since 22/23 has funded a test and learn pilot for the QEHKL Epilepsy Psychology Service.
This modification is for 12 months non-recurrent funding to continue to deliver the QEHKL Epilepsy Psychology Service for the financial year 2025/26.
The overall aim of this specialist service is to provide psychological expertise and support to children and young people with epilepsy and non-epileptic seizures, their families and the epilepsy MDT. This will be a continuation of the current service model.

seven.2.1) Description of the modifications
Nature and extent of the modifications (with indication of possible earlier changes to the contract):
This modification is to fund The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust to continue the successful pilot of the Epilepsy Psychology Service for 12 months on a non-recurrent funding basis from 1 April 2025.
Modification Value £30,318.
Contract term remains unchanged. 1st April 2022-31st March 2030 (Inc 3 yr extension)

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
This modification enables the continuation of a successful service for patients and is permissible in line with Section 13 - 2A & 2B (ii) of The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023.
The modification does not render the contract or framework agreement materially different in character and the cumulative change in the lifetime value of the contract or framework agreement since it was entered into or concluded is less than 25% of the lifetime value of the original contract or framework agreement when it was entered into or concluded
