** THIS NOTICE IS FOR MARKET ENGAGEMENT PURPOSES ONLY **
NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board (referred to as the Commissioner) are engaging with suitably qualified and experienced providers to express their interest in delivering an Advice and Guidance service to health care professionals across NHS Birmingham and Solihull ICB.
The aim of the service is to facilitate advice and guidance on the management of patients in Birmingham and Solihull from a Continuing Healthcare (CHC) perspective, across their range of specialties. The CHC teams are solely located in the Birmingham and Solihull ICB locales and provide services to patients within; referred from multiple sources.
The advice and guidance will provide health care professionals with continued access to specialist clinical advice, enabling a patient’s care to be managed in the most appropriate setting, strengthening shared decision making and avoiding unnecessary outpatient activity.
The purpose of this advert is to invite the market to engage, provide feedback on the draft specification and the data requirement included in the spreadsheet as well as views on digital integration and future opportunities for the service. This will provide the ICB with valuable information to ensure that the service and specification is fit for purpose.
The deadline for Soft Market Testing responses is by 24:00 hours on 31st July 2023. Please note this is a market testing exercise and does not commit the ICB to carry out any further procurement process. Current services will remain in place during this period in line with existing contracts and service level agreements. Any future opportunity will be carried out in accordance with the ICB’s procurement obligations under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
Commissioners’ indicative timescales for a potential tender release date is scheduled for August 2023, but may be subject to change depending on the engagement feedback.
