Reagents is part of the Red Cell Immunohaematology (RCI) function within the Clinical Directorate of National Health Service Blood and Transplant (NHSBT). Reagents is located in Liverpool and produces a range of in vitro diagnostic products including those manufactured from red cell donations. The cell processor currently used by NHSBT Reagents washes red cells using different solutions to produce a final high concentration of red cells.

We are looking to appoint a supplier for the ongoing Supply and Maintenance of an Automated cell processor for washing red cells.

It is NHSBTs’ intention to engage with the market to gather detailed information about the market capabilities. The format for this will be communicated to those that respond to this PIN. Virtual Supplier Engagement days are likely to be a supplier presentation followed by Q&A session. Expressions of interest should be e-mailed to edem.dogbatse@nhsbt.nhs.uk by no later than 12:00 hours on 3rd July 2023.
