four.1) Description

Explanation:

The UK Strategic Command Commercial Team which is part of the UK Ministry of Defence, proposes to place a contract with ETS Nordcom for the Provision of Business Internet for the MNJTF in N'Djamena, Chad. The proposed contract will have a total estimated value of £230,000 (two hundred and thirty thousand pounds) and a duration of 1 (one) year, with options for a further 2 (two) years of provision of internet service.

In accordance with the provisions of The Public Procurement (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020 (SI No. 2020/1319), this procurement falls to be regulated under the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102), as amended (in particular by SI 2020/1319). It is considered that the proposed contract can be placed by switching from the open procedure to the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice pursuant to Regulation 32(2)(a) of the Public Contracting Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102), due to no tenders being submitted in response to an open procedure.

Following a Contract Notice being placed on Find a Tender Service on 15th June 2021, the deadline for tender returns via the Defence Sourcing Portal was set as 15th July 2021 at 17:00 (BST). Following the close of the tender period, no tenders were uploaded to the DSP.
