Residential Overnight Short Breaks for Disabled children and young people aged 8 to the child’s 18th Birthday and who live in the B&NES area. These breaks are open to children and young people assessed or known to social care. The majority of children using residential overnight short breaks are ‘disabled children’ with multiple impairments and complex needs, including health and behavioural, rather than children with what would be considered as life limiting conditions, such as cancer.

Geographical Area to be covered by the service: Bath and North East Somerset wide and will be delivered at Beaumonds, Padleigh Hill, Bath, BA2 9DW

The provider will deliver residential short breaks at the above address, providing overnight stays, day care and sessional visits for up to 5 children/young people a day, plus additional day care attached to overnight stays during school holidays and weekends and access to emergency care at short notice.

The services that are the subject of this PIN (“services”) fall within Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 ("the Regulations") and are therefore not subject to the full application of the Regulations. Any future procurement of the services will instead only be governed by the "Light Touch Regime" contained within Chapter 3, Section 7 of the Regulations (Regulations 74 to 77 and the other elements of the Regulations that apply specifically to Light Touch Regime services.
