The Council is seeking to appoint a Supplier to provide mixed young trees (whips) to support the creation of woodland within the Wakefield district.

The contract is for an initial period of one year with the option to extend for three further one year periods (subject to funding availability) up to a maximum of four years.

It is estimated that over the course of the potential four year period between 2021 and 2025, an estimated 600,000 tree saplings may be purchased for planting in the Wakefield district. The contract will also include the purchase of canes and guards with a view to planting annually between December and March.
