North of England Commissioning Support (NECS) is a commissioning support service working for and on behalf of NHS England North West Health and Justice (the Relevant Authority), who are undertaking a competition to commission Health & Social Care Services and Mental Health Services for HMP Garth and HMP Wymott.
The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
The contract term is for an initial period of 6 years commencing on 01 April 2025, with an option to extend for a further 3 years at the discretion of the Relevant Authority and subject to satisfactory contractual and financial performance.
The closing date for submission of competition response is by 12 noon on 05 August 2024.

Car Park - there is a visitors car park just before you arrive at the prison entrance. Please park sensibly.

• Attendees must be signed in at the gate 10 mins prior to the visit starting, recommended to arrive 30 mins earlier to allow time to sign in.
• Photo ID must be taken to be booked in to visit the prison (passport, drivers licence, etc). If not provided attendees will not be allowed into the prison.
Important Information
• It is advised that you limit the amount of items you intend to bring into the prison. Phones, vapes, any electronic devices can not be taken in under any circumstances. As HMP Garth is a High Security prison you will be required to be searched on entering the prison, and additional items of opened water bottles and paper are also banned from this prison.
• Full name, DOB and national insurance number for those attending needs to be sent via the messaging section on the Atamis portal by 5pm on Sunday 16th June. Any sent after this time will not be able to have their names added to the gate list. Please make it clear if you are only intending to attend one prison.
• There is a maximum of one attendee per provider allowed to attend, this is to limit the size of the group and reduce the impact on the operational running of the prison.
• Lunch will not be provided, there is a break between visits but please be aware there are limited shops in the immediate prison vicinity to purchase food/drink so it is recommended you bring these with you.
