These services will promote the prevention and recovery of people in the East Riding of Yorkshire who are or may be affected by mental health issues by:

Provision of a public-facing mental health information service to raise awareness of and contribute to the reduction of the prevalence of mental health problems.

Increasing the community wide recognition of mental health problems and work to achieving a reduction in stigma, linking to the ‘Healthy Minds in East Riding’ campaign.

Promoting and supporting the engagement of people with mental health problems (and their families) in the community with specific focus on locally identified, high risk groups.

Promotion of skills for people in the self-management of mental health problems to develop their day to day resilience.

Ensuring that those individuals who need help receive appropriate and proportionate care and treatment from other specialist services.

Working with and supporting agencies and services who support people with mental health issues and thus, develop the pathways into an informed ‘system wide’ network of service interventions.
