two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Northern Trains & Transpennine Trains are both subsidiaries of the DOHL and are therefore going to merge fuel requirements and go out to market collaboratively for the supply and delivery of rebated fuel (marked and dyed in accordance with HMRC regulations) that complies with or betters the requirements set out in standard EN590.
The output from the tender which will follow this PIN is to have contracts in place to supply fuel to both train operating companies from the 01/07/2025.
Forecasted annual volumes for each location are as below;

Allerton Depot - 2,300,000
Barrow (Outstation) - 3,700,000
Blackburn (Outstation) - 2,300,000
Blackpool (Outstation) - 2,800,000
Newton Heath Depot - 8,800,000
Sheffield (Outstation) - 4,300,000
Wigan Springs Branch (Outstation) - 1,600,000

Ardwick Depot - 10,000,000
The above volumes are to be delivered to each location via road tankers with the following tanker sizes accepted during the following times;
