  • The procurement falls outside the scope of application of the regulations

Explanation:

Rotherham Parent Carer Forum holds a standard NHS Contract with RCCG for the provision of an Adult Neurodiversity Post Diagnostic Support Service. The Contract will expire on 31 March 2023 with an option to extend for 2 years until 31 March 2025.

The Service provides:

• Intensive one to one peer support including a personalised plan, counselling sessions for those with a recent Neurodevelopment diagnosis.

• A wider offer of support for those awaiting assessment, self-identifying, with a historic diagnosis or questioning including support and advice and group-based support.

As part of our continuously improvement journey, changes have recently been made to the Rotherham Neurodevelopment pathway to improve patients’ experiences. These changes have led to an increased demand for the Service above the anticipated activity levels that were set out when the Service was originally advertised. This has necessitated an increase to the funding required to provide this Service above the original advertised contract value.

At this time the CCG is not in a position to go out to the market to re-procure this service because further time is required to stabilise the changes to the pathway and understand the baseline level of demand created through the changes.
