four.1) Description

Explanation:
Medicines Discovery Catapult Services Ltd (MDCS) has agreed a contract with SynLab Laboratory Services (SynLab) for the MDCS to provide SynLab with SARS-CoV-2 tests. The intention is that SynLab will utilise the MDCS as a referral laboratory to assist with analysing of Sars-CoV-2 Samples. The MDCS will be analysing the Samples provided to it following the Sars-CoV-2 Tests using equipment owned and provided by the SynLab as per the Equipment Hire Agreement dated 10th June 2021 the MDCS have the option to purchase the equipment at the end of the contract.
A condition of the contract is that the MDCS must operate the Thermo Fisher Life Technologies Equipment which in turn requires the use of specific reagents for PCR COVID testing.
The MDCS must operate the Thermo Fisher Life Technologies equipment and relevant reagents to ensure that the analysis being carried out on the biological samples provided by SynLab will produce data that is compliant with our current UKAS accreditation.
