This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) Intention to Award Notice following a competitive process for Berkshire West and South Oxfordshire Palliative and End of Life Care to NHS Buckinghamshire Oxfordshire and Berkshire West ICB (The Commissioner).
The contract period is 1st January 2026 to 31st December 2032 for 7 years (option to extend for 3 years (to 31st December 2035)).
The total contract value for this procurement is £34,997,182 including VAT for the life of the contract (including extensions).
The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
The publication of this notice marks the start of the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decisions makers by midnight on 13 May 2025.

The SCW procurement team supported the project in the management of conflicts throughout the process. In line with national guidance (Managing conflicts of interest: revised statutory guidance for CCGs 2017) conflicts of interest were given a high priority within the procurement, with 'conflicts of interest' a standing item at project group meetings.
Project members were required to complete Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality forms prior to receiving any sensitive documentation. There were no declarations of conflict as part of this process.
