To comply with the Code of Audit Practice prepared by the Comptroller and Auditor General and approved by Parliament and have regard to any guidance to auditors issued by the Comptroller and Auditor General.
To provide the statutory financial external audit of an applicable charitable trust and to be satisfied that the accounts comply with the relevant requirements of the Charity Commission, and are appropriately consolidated into the CCG accounts.

This was originally a contract for 3 + 2 years but due to the formation of the Integrated Care Boards the CCGs wish to extend the contract for 12 further months until 31 March 2023.

Need for additional works, services or supplies by the original contractor/concessionaire.
Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
The Integrated Care Boards come into existence on 1 July 2022 and the external auditors need to be able to review the accounts of the said body in relation to the CCGs included within the formed body so that a full comprehensive audit can be undertaken. Therefore the CCGs wish to extend the current contract for 12 months to cover this transition period. This was originally a contract for 3 + 2 years but the CCGs wish to extend the contract for 12 further months until 31 March 2023.
