The Schneider Electric industrial freeze dryers (Models CS15, CS100, and CS150) at NIBSC produce all the lyophilised products in the NIBSC catalogue. In addition, the freeze dryers are also used for contract work for external parties. NIBSC Significant revenue is generated per annum through the sale of NIBSC catalogue products and contract work. The current system (Contollers and software) supporting the freeze driers is outdated, no longer supported, and starting to fail. The system needs to be upgraded as soon as possible to ensure business critical activities and the safety of public
