Westminster City Council (the "Authority") will be embarking on the recommissioning of a Residential & Funded Nursing Care Service within Beachcroft Care Home. This follows an open tender exercise earlier this year where the Authority did not award a contract.
Prior to retendering these services the Authority will host a virtual market engagement event providing an opportunity to discuss and seek feedback from interested service providers on the service model and how these services can be delivered in the future.

The market engagement event will be held virtually using Teams. Information in regards to time and joining the session will be made available to registered delegates via the e-tendering portal.
two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Westminster City Council (the Authority) requires service providers of residential and dementia care to support vulnerable adults who have been assessed as having eligible need that could be effectively supported in a care home setting and have a legal right to live in a care home of their choice under the Care and Support (Choice of Accommodation) Regulations 2014 No 2670 and any subsequent amendments.
Service providers with experience of delivering these types of services are invited to attend a market engagement event on the morning of Wednesday 11 August 2021.
The aim of the market engagement event is to:
• Share information about demographic activity and care home trends in Westminster
• Introduce our flagship purpose-built 84 bed care home
• Share the Authority's vision of personalised outcome-based services
• Share details of the forthcoming market opportunity
• Discuss lessons learnt from the previous market opportunity
• Explore market experience and appetite
• Allow questions and feedback from the market
Following the market engagement event, interested providers will be invited to attend individual virtual Q&A sessions on the morning of either Tuesday 17 August, Wednesday 18 August, or Thursday 19 August 2021. Each session will be for a maximum of 1 hour with each interested provider.

Please note:
• Participation in these engagement events will not exclusively include or preclude any service provider from participating in any further competition.
• Participation in these engagement events should not give rise to expectations that service providers will have an agreement to make service offers to the Authority.
• Full details of the service requirements will be published with the tender documents as part of the ITT.
• This is not a guarantee of further competition. The Authority reserves the right, at its own discretion, to withdraw from the process and pursue alternative routes for the provision of this service, should it decide to do so.
• The Authority will not reimburse service providers for any expenses incurred as a result of participating in these engagement opportunities.
