two.1.4) Short description

7 Air Defence Group in conjunction with the Army Land GBAD Programme Office will deliver a Ground Based Air Defence (GBAD) Exposition on 11 July 2024 at Thorney Island starting at 09.30hrs. The purpose of the day is to keep the delivery of Land GBAD at the forefront of Defence mindset. It will be a demonstration of Land GBAD capability, designed to showcase the employment and development of current equipment, and further enable future Land GBAD. The day will demonstrate current GBAD fielded force, the initial stages of the Land GBAD Programme journey, and potential future capabilities.

The primary audience are internal MoD stakeholders. 7AD Gp would like to further use this opportunity to engage the wider defence Industry for Land GBAD to support this event. This RFI extends an invitation to Defence suppliers to attend, with demonstrations of equipment at the event requested; but it is not a pre-requisite from attendees responding to this RFI.

Specifically, 7AD Gp invites attendees from companies specialising in and/or supplying equipment in the following Land GBAD areas – C2, Effectors, Sensors, CUAS, Training & Simulation.

This event will not provide any new information on the DE&S Land GBAD programme which has its own approach to market engagement. This event is not an indication of intent to place future work with Industry – it is an opportunity for Industry to support the work of MoD stakeholders. Any procurement relating to the topics discussed within the RFI shall be managed separately and in line with UK government legislation and policy, as relevant.
