two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Within TVP, we have a specialist department that currently host all ‘live’ operational data on Dell Isilon storage clusters which is in support until January 2025. At the end of the support contract, the hardware will likely be deemed beyond economically viable to continue to service and support. The new storage solution must be purchased, implemented, and commissioned with all data transferred by the end of January 2025. The department wishes to seek advice on potential suitable and sustainable replacement for the Dell Isilon product, to understand the scope and scale of the project going forward. The following dates are open for engagement with suppliers, I appreciate that this is a very tight turnaround, however I would be grateful if you are able to confirm dates and times you could meet with the department within the questionnaire to discuss the below discussion points. Thursday 6th June Tuesday 11th June Thursday 13th June Monday 17th June 0900-1600Thursday 20th June 0900-1100 and 1230-1600Friday 21st June 1200-1530Monday 24th June 0900-1400Thursday 27th June 0900-1530Discussion Points To determine a solution for future ‘hot’ storage within the Investigations remit which is:- Cost effective – delivers demonstrable value.- Scalable (storage capacity)- Sustainable in terms of hardware support, maintenance, availability of parts.- Supports active-active multi-site availability.- Can be supplied and implemented within short timescales.- Provides premium performance with high data transfer rates.- Compliant to applicable standards for policing and security sector.- May be adapted for cloud interface features (hybrid-cloud models)- Must be delivered before July 2024 to allow 5-6m installation and data transfer.Please note that this event will involve no element of supplier selection or bid evaluation and involves no commitment from either side. Participation in the event is voluntary. Failure to participate in the event does not preclude asupplier from submitting a tender in any subsequent tender process in relation to thisproject. Any feedback or other information provided by a supplier as part of the event will notbe taken into account in the evaluation of any tender submission that may be subsequentlysubmitted by the supplier in relation to the project. Each supplier is responsible for its' own costs in participating in this PIN.
