two.1.4) Short description

Essex County Council is procuring a new Supported Living Framework for the commissioning of new placements in supported living accommodation. This contract will include the provision of services for adults with both complex and non-complex needs dependent on the specialism of the provider.

The Council currently supports approximately 1,200 people with disabilities in supported living schemes in Essex. The use of supported living services aligns with the Council’s strategy to help people live more independent lives, moving away from traditional residential care settings, focusing on progression, and living in a way that is meaningful and fulfilling for the adults.

The new Supported Living Framework will operate for a period of 4 years from commencement date in March 2025.

The procurement will be carried out on a two-stage process with initial expressions of interest to be returned to the Council by 3rd July 2024 at 12pm.

For those successful at stage one, an invite to the second stage of the process will be issued and responses will be required to be returned by 30th September 2024 at 12pm.
