NEPO seeks to procure a Framework Agreement for Gas Supply. The current NEPO302 Gas Framework will end 31st March 2026 following the conclusion of the Framework Extension.
NEPO intend to hold Market Consultation meetings with suppliers prior to this procurement project. The Market Consultation meetings are advertised openly using this notice.
The Market Consultation Questionnaire will be made accessible via the Open eTendering system on Tuesday 4th June 2024 with a submission deadline of 5 p.m. Tuesday 18th June 2024.
Suppliers wishing to access and complete the Market Consulation Questionnaire must first register on the eTendering system using the following link https://www.open-uk.org
Within the Soft Market Testing Questionnaire, Suppliers will be given the opportunity to register for a market consultation meeting via an Eventbrite Link.
Market consultation meetings are limited in number and will take place the week commencing Monday 24th June 2024. Appointments will be no longer than 1 hour and 15 minutes, and NEPO intend to conduct these sessions virtually through online meeting platform applications. NEPO anticipates these virtual meeting sessions will take place on Microsoft Teams or other secure meeting platforms. The time and location of each appointment will be confirmed following the registration deadline and places will be secured on a first come first serve basis via the Eventbrite Link. NEPO reserves the right to seek assurances from interested suppliers prior to allocating a place.
Attendance at market consultation is optional and does not provide suppliers with an advantage in any future related procurement. Attendance also does not constitute as an intention to tender for any future related procurement. Please note the above dates may be subject to change depending on availability and supplier uptake.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
NEPO seeks to procure a Framework Agreement for Gas Supply. The Framework Agreement will include the purchasing of gas via a Fully Flexible methodology alongside Fixed Price options. The Framework Agreement will also include provisions for assisting Member Authorities to reduce consumption and support their energy efficiency aims.
The current NEPO Framework Agreement consumes approximately 28,500,000 Therms per annum over approximately 3900 sites. Further information regarding Framework Agreement scope and size will be provided in the Contract Notice.

NEPO intends to make the resulting agreement available for use by all Contracting Authorities throughout all administrative regions of the UK (as defined by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015) including but not limited to Government Departments and their Agencies, Non-Departmental Public Bodies, Central Government, NHS Bodies, Local Authorities, Emergency Services, Coastguard Emergency Services, Educational Establishments, Registered Social Landlords and Registered Charities who have a need to purchase the above services.
