two.2.4) Description of the procurement
NHS Arden GEM CSU on behalf of The NHS Commissioning Board operating as NHS England (East of England) (the Contracting Authority) wishes to commission Enhanced Mental Health services (EMHS) services for adult victims and survivors of sexual assault and abuse with complex trauma related mental health needs and/or comorbid factors that may result in their presentation being more complex.
The Enhanced Mental Health service will receive referrals for two ICB areas and will offer a tertiary service, receiving these referrals from secondary care mental health services.
As a result of this procurement exercise an agreement will be established with the successful Bidder(s) for a period of 3 years. The Contract start date is 1st April 2024.
The tertiary service offer must augment (but not duplicate) existing mental health service provision and support the joining up of services (specifically specialist sexual violence and abuse voluntary sector organisations and secondary care NHS services) to reduce fragmentation for
people accessing care.
The Commissioner has structured this tender process using the following lot approach:
Lot 1: Norfolk & Waveney ICB, Suffolk & North East Essex ICB and Cambridgeshire & Peterborough ICB
Lot 2: Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICB, Hertfordshire and West Essex and Mid and South Essex ICB
Bidders may bid for one or both of the Lots set out above, awards will be made per Lot and will be evaluated against each Lot.
