two.1.4) Short description

The DNE is looking to contract with a minimum of 3 and a maximum of 5 Delivery Partners that will enable the DNE to collaborate with schools in designated regions. The aim of this activity is to extend our reach to this target audience to promote STEM events and enable the target audience to better understand the opportunities available to them as a career choice. The focus will be aimed at young people from aged 8-14 years old (Year 3 – 9). The start date of the project will be August 2023 and the delivery of this project in schools will commence from October 2023 through to July 2024. Delivery Partners should offer either full (5 hours) or half day (3 hours) STEM activities to cater for the individual needs of the Primary and Secondary Schools and should focus on supporting schools where participation in STEM subjects is minimal.

A Tenderer must submit one Tender per region via the Defence Sourcing Portal. Should the Tenderer wish to tender for several regions, a separate tender for each region should be submitted which will be evaluated on their own entity during Tender Evaluation.

In accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 Regulation 32 para 9 and para 10, the Authority reserves the right to use the negotiated procedure without prior publication for new works and services consisting of the repetition of similar works or services entrusted to the economic operator to which the same contracting authority awarded an original contract. The Authority may or may not exercise this right, as such this is dependant on the performance of Delivery Partners for the duration of the contract.
