Public Health England wish to establish a Dynamic Purchasing System of Providers capable of providing Adult Weight Management Services for all Local Authorities (LAs) within England. The DPS will seek to appoint a number of Providers to cover adult behavioural weight management (tier 2) services and support the delivery of the Government’s commitment to expanding LAs adult weight management services. These services form part of a wider programme of work, at a national and local level, to help local communities lead healthier lives. The initial grant for these services is expected to be spent by the 31st March 2022. The DPS has been set up for an initial 3 year period with the option to extend for a further 2 years. This is to allow other LAs to use the DPS for Adult Weight Management services at a later date, even if they haven't received grant funding for these types of services. The procurement will follow a Public Contract Regulations 2015 restricted procedure.
