Description

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) is intending to procure a contract for a telematics solution (A1161).

The contract will provide a hardware and software solution for telematics to be used in the GMP fleet.

The contract will deliver a number of benefits including cashable savings through optimised use of the fleet.

The contract will be delivered in 2 phases. The first phase will be expected to deliver evidence that cashable savings can be made that are greater than the contract value itself. The second phase of the contract will not be completed without such evidence.

It is anticipated that the procurement process will commence in quarter 1 of the 2025/2026 financial year.

GMP is currently consider options with respect to using an existing framework (under either the 2015 or 2023 Procurement Act regulations) or a tender. This will be confirmed following a review of the market and our requirements.

Whilst the Contracting Authority is the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, this contract will be tendered and managed by the Greater Manchester Police.
