two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The SPS has a range of fire and smoke detection (FASD) systems that are included within the scope of this contract. The FASD equipment is utilised to provide a safe living and working environment within SPS properties by ensuring detection & notification in event of a fire to protect buildings, their occupants and equipment in accordance with BS 5839. This lot will provide support and maintenance to the equipment within the Establishments listed under this lot.
The equipment requires to be fully tested, operational and operate at maximum efficiency at all times. The contract shall support this requirement by providing safe and suitable planned maintenance and reactive activities, integrity inspections, test and certification services to a minimum of SFG20 specification where SFG20 fully meets or exceeds the requirements of statutory regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, British and EU Standards, and the operational requirements of the Establishment.
