two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Bi-Borough (Westminster City Council and the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea) is looking to pilot a personalised recovery-based service, with limited engagement, which prepares service users for independence and enable them to access mainstream services. The service will reduce the need for further input from mental health services, prevent additional admissions and reduce delayed discharges.

The service will work with a wide range of people including those who may be experiencing their first encounter with mental health issues, those who may need support with discharge and those who need support to prevent early relapse. Reablement services are not likely to require CQC registration as will do not deliver any personal care. Support interventions will focus on motivating users to build their skills, confidence, and resilience to maximise their independence and autonomy. The Bi Borough is committed to working with the marketplace to maximise the commissioning opportunities to be gained and to understand the current market position.

We are keen to hear your views and utilise your expertise to commission a high-quality service. We would like to invite interested providers to further participate by attending a Market Engagement Event 10:30am - 12:00pm noon on Thursday 5th August 2021.

The market engagement event will provide an opportunity to discuss proposed pilot and expectations around service delivery. We are particularly interested in working with Commercial, SMEs, Voluntary and Community Sector organisations, new and existing, that can explore and create new approaches to improve the needs of residents. Providers with experience of these types of services are invited to attend a supplier engagement event on.
