Read- In accordance with its statutory obligation the MAIB are investigating the loss at sea of the Fishing Vessel Nicola Faith and needed to raise the sunken vessel as quickly as possible, to preserve vital evidence. This all contributes to future safety recommendations with the aim of helping to prevent a similar occurrence. The MAIB approached known economic operators to submit a proposal based on the below criteria. Each response was evaluated and the award decision was based on the most economically advantageous tender (MEAT).
