Engagement process description

We would like to hear from organisations who can provide a Community Based Day Opportunities Service that enables people who access these services to lead a full and active life and to meet the needs of the person accessing the service holistically, by promoting independence, quality and value for money. The service provision should align with Calderdale Council’s Adult Services and Wellbeing vision: ‘People are supported to live their largest life. We will always be kind and compassionate, creative and bold in helping people achieve their hopes and dreams. People are at the heart of all we do, and they will feel valued and have an equal voice in their care and support. We will always respect people’s strengths and support them to be connected to their communities’. The service provision should align with the Calderdale Council’s Adult Services and Wellbeing Strategy, ‘Living Your Largest Life.’ Providers are invited to complete the linked questionnaire: https://forms.office.com/e/4zSdkPzHXU Questionnaires must be completed no later than Thursday 5th March 2026 at 12 noon. A summary of responses and preliminary commissioning ideas will be presented at the engagement event where attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to shaping the future Community Based Day Opportunities Service offer. This will take place: Friday 13th March 2026, 10.00 – 11.00am via Microsoft Teams Organisations wishing to attend the engagement event should email mark.darling@calderdale.gov.uk or ICCQT@calderdale.gov.uk to reserve a place (maximum 2 persons per organisation).
