Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) are the Mental Health & Learning Disability NHS Trust for County Durham and Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire, York and Selby. Along with partners, they deliver support to people in their own homes, and from community and hospital-based premises.
From education and prevention, to crisis and specialist care their talented and compassionate teams work in partnership with patients, communities and partners to help the people of their region feel safe, understood, believed in and cared for.
They are committed to new thinking that improves the wellbeing of the region and connect with communities and partners to get mental health care right, in areas that really need it.
TEWV have more than 8,000 employees and work across more than 100 sites. In addition to their corporate teams, the remaining services are divided into two Care Group Boards; Durham, Tees Valley and Forensic Service Care Group Board and North Yorkshire and York Care Group Board.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust (TEWV) currently have a fully managed outsourced service provider to deliver Occupational Health Services to their workforce. Under this agreement they utilise a range of services including, management referrals, health screening, immunisations, vaccinations and physiotherapy/MSK service.
The services are provided predominantly on a virtual basis (telephone/ video conference) except for those that require face to face such as physiotherapy, immunisations, and exceptional cases.
In addition to this core Occupational Health Service the organisation operates an Employee Assistance programme via VivUp and have in-house staff support and staff psychological services offering individual and group interventions. The intention is to continue utilising these services and therefore they are not in scope.
Occupational Health services are also outside of scope as a separate contract.

TEWV require the successful supplier for Physiotherapy / MSK services to mobilise for a smooth transition for a go live date of 1st December 2024.
The organisation is keen to engage with the market to better understand supplier capability ahead of a potential further competition process and are seeking to understand whether suppliers are interested in bidding for this opportunity and the services that they can offer.
In advance of commencing a potential formal procurement process they are able to offer interested parties an hour-long pre-tender engagement session to better understand their requirements and discuss high level requirements and service delivery options.
Proposed Contract start date: 1st December 2024
The length of the contract is envisaged to be an initial term of 2 years with 2 x 1-year extension options.
