The Service provision will require Individual, bespoke Community Packages of Care for Children and Young People aged 0 – 18 years with Continuing Care Needs to enable Children and Young People to be cared for in their home.

Care packages will encompass a broad spectrum of requirements, ranging from non-complex to more challenging complex cases including for example:

- Care packages involving care plans developed by a qualified RSCN/RN Children’s Nurse where there are low-level decision-making requirements. Care packages would have clinical oversight from the RSCN/RN Children’s Nurse.

- Care packages involving a more enhanced degree of decision making and responsiveness beyond following a plan of care provided by an RSCN/RN Children’s Nurse,

- Care packages requiring qualified nursing support (following risk assessment undertaken by the clinical team and the Commissioner’s Complex and Continuing care team.

This Procurement is for a bespoke Framework For The Provision Of Care Packages For Children's Continuing Care.

The Procurement Process seeks to be inclusive and to set up the Framework Agreement for a number of 5 years.

During this time the Contracting Authority (NHS South West London Clinical Commissioning Group) reserves the right, at any time, to reopen the Framework to procurement with the purpose of maximising the capacity of providers.

This Framework invites Providers to propose their rates of pay which will be used in a competitive approach to ensure value for money, whilst also supporting providers to have prices in place which are sustainable to their businesses for these type of care services and care packages including complex care packages for children of 0-18 years of age. (For more details, please see Specification Documentation part of - ITT Document 2 - Service Specification & Other Relevant Information).

The expectation is for SWL CCG to have Care Packages through this framework worth of up to £14,000,000 per year, but also reserving the right that this framework may be opened up to other contracting authorities, hence the potential value of £210,000,000.
