FCDO Services (the Authority) invites tenders from Security Hardware & Software Distributors to a submit a bid for the supply of Security Hardware, Software and Associated Services.
The selected supplier will assist FCDO Services in delivering security solutions for its clients. Primarily with the supply and support of security hardware covering CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Detection, PA Systems, Fire Systems, IT networking and Cable Infrastructure. Must be able to supply a wide range of hardware including specific manufacturers’ key to FCDO Services operations. These include, Panasonic, Hanwha and Bosch among others. There is also a requirement to support FCDO services with relevant functions to the supplied hardware including, technical training, technical support and pre configuration activities in the UK. Also assist with management and control information as required relating to hardware procured through this service. Significant stock holding and the ability to next day deliver items to Hanslope Park will be required.
There are four key aims in the procurement of this service, and the overarching principle is to deliver projects and services efficently and effectively across the globe. The key aims are:
i. Hardware supplier must have access to a wide range of security hardware manufacturers’ and products covering CCTV, Access Control, Fire and Intruder Detection. Partnerships arrangements and working relationships with manufacturers’ key to FCDO Services are required. Efficent supply of hardware, access to technical information and updates from these suppliers is an essential requirement.
ii. Training and technical support services are part of this provision. Access to training on secuirty systems and technical support for hardware. This is to include general security training on theory and application as well as specific security systems training on Manufacturers’ systems/ products. In addition, the ability to work with our changing requirements to provide core training and support requirements.
iii. The supplier must hold a significant stock holding in the UK and offer next day delivery to Hanslope Park with Next Day Deliveries including orders placed up to 5pm the previous day.
iv. Access to a Web based catalogue of products, Stock Holding and Online Ordering are required for visibility of products and other functions, including information on hardware such as manufacturers’ specification detail and installation / user manuals.
v. Working with FCDO Services to assist with the management and life cycle of products and hardware is a requirement. This is to include suppling information relevant to new products from key manufacturers’ and end of life notifications. Management information relating to hardware purchased, training and support provided is to be available at request
