Description
To replace 3 backhoe loaders that are used by Bereavement Services (x1) and Highways (x2). The former has been VOR for over 12-months whilst a route to market was being considered. The vehicle has been classed as beyond economical repair was over 17 years old. The latter two vehicles have now reached replacement age and starting to become unreliable.

Engagement process description
Leicester City Council ('the Council') would like to seek views and engagement from the market regarding the Supply of 3Nos. Backhoe Loaders Vehicles. This project is to replace three existing vehicles currently used by the Bereavement Services and Highways Teams of the Council with vehicles more specific to the needs of the service. Both vehicles have now reached / will have exceeded the scheduled replacement date by the time of vehicle delivery.
The proposed contract will be for a duration of 12 months.
At this stage, it is a Pre-Market Engagement only and Not A CALL FOR COMPETITION.
