Cardiff & Vale University Health Board (CAVUHB) have appointed TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman (TSDB) to produce the specification for the multiple upgrades of passenger lifts located at University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park, Cardiff.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Cardiff & Vale University Health Board (CAVUHB) have appointed TÜV SÜD Dunbar Boardman (TSDB) to produce the specification for the multiple upgrades of passenger lifts located at University Hospital of Wales, Heath Park, Cardiff.

The intent of the Specification is that the Plant and/or the Works shall be designed, manufactured, supplied, installed and constructed such as to be fit for the purpose of providing Bed Passenger Lift service in compliance (where achievable) with BS EN81-20 and BS EN81-50 requirements; the Lifts Regulations 2016 as amended; Accessibility to BSEN81-70 requirements; Vandal resistance to BS EN81-71 Category 1 requirements (where required by this Specification); Fire Recall Service to BS EN81-73 requirements; NHS Wales WHTM 08-02 requirements (where required by this Specification).

The Plant shall have a minimum service life of not less than 20 years commencing from Taking Over by the Employer.
