two.1.4) Short description

ScotRail Trains Limited (STL) invite expressions of interest for the supply and delivery of full

design work and material to enable the fitment of Double Variable Rate sanding equipment to

34 x Class 170 DMU; to include an agreed level of strategic spare

material. Interested parties should include equipment warranty period, and provide, for STL

retention, technical documentation, schematic drawings, fault finding guides and material

specifications.

The installation of the modification will be carried out a third party to be confirmed between December 2022 and

April 2023 a STL location to be confirmed, therefore STL will require detailed designs, installation,

and testing instructions. Interested parties should also provide an option for on-site support

during the first in class fitment and testing. For the avoidance of doubt,

interested parties are not required to include costs for installation.

A specification of requirements will be provided as part of the tender process.
