This framework will cover the provision of cleaning various types of water and waste water assets. This will include but not limited to sludge tanks, chemical tanks, digestors, clarifiers, precipitators or DAF units, reactors and channel cleaning. Also included in scope are spillages, pipe clearing, pressure jetting and waste disposal routes. CDM does apply to this work-type and so the Construction with/without Exemptions SQ/PQQ will be used as appropriate.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
This framework will cover the provision of cleaning various types of water and waste water assets. This will include but not limited to sludge tanks, chemical tanks, digestors, clarifiers, precipitators or DAF units, reactors and channel cleaning. Also included in scope are spillages, pipe clearing, pressure jetting and waste disposal routes.
Core equipment to deliver the service effectively will include but not limited to: liquid ring tankers, dis-ab tankers, vacuum tankers and high pressure jetting equipment. Additional specialist equipment may include recycler tankers, combined vacuum tanker with pressure jetting, CCTV pipeline and surveying equipment, skip hire and screening/separation equipment. All works are required to be planed, executed and completed in line with the Scottish Waters Sewage Hygiene Health & Safety Standard and Water Supply Hygiene Code of Practice. Scottish Water’s TOM’s and DOM’s procedures will apply as will DSEAR awareness training and processes. In addition, the following safety provisions will be required in certain applications: breathing apparatus and airline equipment, atmosphere monitoring equipment and rescue provisions. Further safety equipment/provisions may also be necessary again based on application/asset requirements and should be identified at the planning stage of any undertaking.
