Following Ofwat’s guidance (published 10 February, 2022) requiring all UK sewerage companies to introduce a Bid Assessment Framework (BAF) for Bioresources Services, United Utilities (UU) are sharing draft BAF documentation to consult with stakeholders in the market.

The aim is that the introduction of bid assessment frameworks will complement the existing market structure and will help ensure that companies procure bioresources services in a way that is transparent and promotes the market.

UU wish consult publicly on a draft of their bid assessment framework. This would give potentially affected stakeholders an opportunity to comment and will mean that the finalised frameworks should better reflect prospective bidders' needs.

We invite stakeholders to comment on the draft bioresources services bid assessment framework, and associated evaluation criteria by no later than 5pm on 15 July 2022.
