two.1.4) Short description
The Royal Turks & Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) is the lead agency for the protection of the marine border and territorial waters of the Turks & Caicos Islands (TCI). On behalf of the RTCIPF the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) is looking to acquire an aerial surveillance/reconnaissance asset.
The functions the asset must fulfil are:
- Maritime Border Protection (irregular migration/people smuggling)
- Maritime Anti-smuggling (multi commodity, drugs, firearms, people)
- Maritime Search and Rescue
- Fisheries Protection
To fulfil these functions, the aircraft will be required to conduct;
- Routine patrol following pre-determined tasking
- Respond to dynamic tasking
- Loitering on station to monitor identified threats.
The RTCIPF will take operational control of the leased Aircraft, and will provide the pilots, crew and fuel. The Aircraft will operate under the RTCIPF’s CAA Air Operators Certificate. However, the Contractor shall provide all Maintenance activity in accordance with this Requirement.
