The requirements for this contract cover a total of 50 pumps & 25 sumps across 4 locations.

- KGV (King George V)

All works to be carried out following the Environment Agency’s Health and Safety codes of practice and the Thames Tidal Defences Safety Rules.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

1. Contract is looking to be awarded on 2 years + 1 +1 basis, services will be carried out to the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance schedule, with minor service and major service including components replacement. Initially an Electrical Technician from the Thames Barrier will be present to supervise isolations & from then on isolations are to be carried out by the contractor after first contacting the Duty Engineer on Level 7.

2. All pumps to be lifted from sumps and overhauled as specified in the Flygt Pump Maintenance manual. Top up oil level as required.

3. Sumps to be emptied and all surfaces washed down until clean.

4. All alarms to be tested.

5. The non-return valve is to be removed and checked.

6. A full report detailing all electrical readings and showing photos of all major components is required.
