The Border Force would like to invite external suppliers to express an interest in a future tender for the supply and maintenance of CO2 detection analysers.
Please note, this expression of interest notice may not result in a future procurement. Should a future tender be conducted, suppliers that have expressed an interest in this PIN will be invited to participate in the tender process.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Border Force Detection Technology Management Unit (DTMU) are seeking to establish a Contract for the supply and maintenance of CO2 detection analysers . The Contract shall be for an initial four (4) years with an option to extend for further 12-month period.
Supplier(s) will be required to deliver the scope will consist of the following:
● Supply of Carbon Dioxide Gas Analysers;
● Annual Maintenance, Calibration and Repair for Carbon Dioxide Gas Analysers.
This is not a requirement for analysers for personal safety purposes
Mandatory Requirements:
Carbon Dioxide Gas Analysers must be designed and be able to detect human CO2 levels and be suitable for Roll on/Roll off freight search environments.
Gas Analysers must be capable of detecting human CO2 levels within a 7-meter range.
The CO2 minimum measurement should be 0-1500 ppm and be able to measure levels in 10ppm increments.
The duration of the sample process should not exceed more than 30 seconds.
Supplier(s) products and services must meet the expectation of their customers, and they are compliant and operate within Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management or recognised equivalent. Accreditations must be held with a recognised national accreditation body, such as UKAS.
All spares used must be guaranteed and be made available for a period of up to 5 years following purchase.
Supplier(s) must have an authorised agent located in the UK for the provision of maintenance, calibration and repair services.
The successful supplier(s) would be required to undertake annual planned maintenance, calibration and repairs on its own premises. However, alternative proposals for mobile calibration services on the Buyer’s premises at Folkestone would be considered.
The Buyer’s preference is for detection analysers that only require 1 calibration per year. However interest is sought from suppliers providing detection analysers requiring 6 monthly calibrations.
