Southampton Advocacy Services Online Market Engagement Event, Tuesday 28 June 2022 10.00-11.30am & Market Consultation Questionnaire.

This relates to the intent of Southampton City Council ("the Council") and Hampshire, Southampton & Isle of Wight CCG to tender advocacy services in autumn 2022, under Public Contracts Regulations 74-76.

This future opportunity prior information notice is not the start of a procurement process.

Service provision could include:

Statutory Requirements:

• Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)

• Independent Mental Capacity Act Advocacy (IMCA) including Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) IMCA, and IMCA for Liberty Protection Safeguards (LPS).

• Paid Relevant Person's Representative (Paid RPR).

• Care Act 2014 Advocacy

• Children's Statutory Advocacy: Advocacy to support those with Special Educational Needs under the Children and Families Act (2014).

• Independent NHS Complaints Advocacy (IHCAS)

• Independent Visitor and Looked After Children) Advocacy

Non-statutory Requirements:

• Supporting parents who have a learning disability with a child subject to child protection proceedings.

• Supporting self-advocacy groups, self-advocates and peer advocacy.

• Supporting individuals through hospital discharge and associated decision making.

• Advocacy support to those participating in strategic service reviews and system redesigns.

The anticipated contract start date is 1st April 2023, the initial contract term 3 years, and an extension period not exceeding 2 years in total, subject to final approvals.

The market engagement is to provide opportunity to participants to consider the future service delivery model of Southampton's advocacy services and inform service specification development.

Interested provider organisations should note it is neither the intention nor purpose of the engagement event or questionnaire, to confer any advantage to participants regarding any future procurement process.
