The Council is seeking to engage suitably experienced and competent Contractors, in the context of increased financial pressures, to carry out Fire Door Inspections, Remedials and Replacements for Housing and Property assets across the County of Powys.

The Council’s aim is to award an individual contract for each lot.

Lots for the Tender are as follows;

- Lot 1 – North

- Lot 2 – South

Tenderers are able to submit a Tender for either Lot or both Lots. If bidding for both Lots Tenderers must have the capacity to undertake both Contracts simultaneously if successful in both Lots and must provide evidence of this in their Tender Response.

Tenderers should note that each Lot will be evaluated and awarded separately.

List and brief description of selection criteria

It is a Minimum Requirement that Bidders:

Are a third (3rd) Party accredited installer under a registered UKAS Fire Door Accreditation scheme.

Are Constructionline Silver registered (or equivalent), with work categories relevant to the subject matter of the contract.

Are registered with a Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSiP) accredited scheme.

Employees must have a valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks at the time of Contract mobilisation and throughout the Contract Period. Contractors must comply fully with the Council’s DBS Policy.

Have demonstrable experience of delivering contract(s) of a similar nature.

Provide copies of full audited accounts, including profit and loss accounts and balance sheet, for the most recently completed financial year. The accounts will be analysed in accordance with instruction provided in the Financial Analysis Information document included within the tender documentation.

Have or agree to put in place by contract start insurances to the following levels:

Public & Product Liability Insurance - 5,000,000 GBP;

Employer’s Liability Insurance - 5,000,000 GBP

Accept the terms and conditions contained within the tender documentation.
