Following the first, second and third release of the ODS Data Search and Export, NHSE have requested a fourth release to include features that were not able to be developed and implemented during the first three releases.
The aim and objective is to ensure that NHSE are maximising and expanding their use of the ODS Data search and export capabilities.
The overall aim is to provide ODS’s bespoke requirements to support the on-going development of the service.

Single supplier - technical reasons
DSE is the front end of, and is directly fed from, our FHIR R4 API, which this supplier hosts. Another supplier would not be able to provide the front end (DSE) without also hosting the API.
In summary, it would not be technically feasible or economically efficient for another provider to carry out this work.
