The original contract end date of 30 April 2027 has been extended to 23 February 2029,
resulting in a total extension period of 1 year, 9 months and 24 days.
This arrangement is an established Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) operating under
the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, allowing ongoing supplier admission and flexible call off arrangements.
The extension reflects the revised transitional and saving provisions set out in the
Procurement Act 2023 (Commencement No. 3 and Transitional and Saving Provisions)
(Amendment) Regulations 2024 (SI 2024/959), which amend the implementation
timetable for the new procurement regime.
These amended regulations include revised deadlines that extend certain dates
previously set for late October 2028 to 23 February 2029, ensuring continued lawful
operation of DPS arrangements established under the 2015 Regulations during the
transition to the new regime.
