PIN – Infant Feeding Peer Support Service
This is a notice to the market for an opportunity to review the draft service specification for a new place-based Infant Feeding Peer Support Service.
It is Kent County Council’s intention to open the competitive tender for the Infant Feeding Peer Support Service in June 2025.
This procurement would fall under the Health Care Service (PSR) Regulations 2023
.
Please note this notice is not a call for competition; therefore, you are not expected to submit any tender documents at this stage. Further information relating to this procurement will be published on Contracts Finder and the Kent Business Portal at a future date. Interested providers are advised to create a supplier profile on the Kent Business Portal to receive notifications.
Regulations relating to the procurement of public services and goods changed on 24 February 2025. All suppliers / providers must now register on the Central Digital Platform, making sure their information is up to date, before submitting bids for new procurements. The proposed place-based Infant Feeding Peer Support Service will be designed to support prospective and expectant parents and carers, and parent and carers with infant feeding through local accessible sessions. The service will align with the Health and Care Partnerships (and maternity services) to enable mothers to access infant feeding social support and peer support in a group setting through the Family Hubs programme.
We welcome you to review the draft service specification and provide feedback about the proposal. The deadline to provide feedback is 1st May 2025.
