The initial competition was to procure a fleet of 50 medium weight RCVs and provide an initial period of three years In-Service Support to them. The DARTROSE single statement of User need (SSUN) is; ‘The User requires a portable, deployable and robust remote capability in order to enable Military Aid to the Civil Authorities (MACA) EOD Medium Teams, to locate, diagnose and render safe Explosive Ordnance (EO) including the ability to conduct rudimentary Vehicle Bourne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED)’.
