Bristol City Council - Emergency Preparedness and Resilience Team (EPRT):
To access accessible transport ‘out of hours’ to support the Council’s emergency response.
Therefore, EPRT are looking for providers to assist in providing access to a range of assessable vehicles to assist in the transportation of vulnerable persons, groups impacted by an incident to either a place of safety or temporary accommodation.
Transport Requirements:
• Assessable Minibus with driver.
• Medium sized coach with driver.
• 4-seater taxi
• 5/6-seater taxi
• 7/8-seater taxi
It will be essential for providers to have an emergency point of contact ‘name and phone number’. The purpose of this contract is to provide 24/7 access to emergency transport that will be utilised in emergency scenarios.
To activate this arrangement the Duty EP officer will either use the emergency number or send a text message to the named person. It will be expected that the provider is able to respond within thirty (30) minutes of the communication being received.
Depending on the nature of the incident, emergency transport to be made deployable within two hours.
